Who we are.

What we do.

Partners.

The Rangeland Center facilitates collaboration among researchers, educators, students, and land managers to tackle complex rangeland challenges. With expertise spanning various disciplines, we offer services and products to engage stakeholders, provide relevant information, and offer learning opportunities for effective land stewardship.

We provide research and education for rangeland stakeholders, focusing on understanding ecosystem dynamics and translating findings into practical solutions. Collaborating with partners like University of Idaho Extension, we offer workshops and resources to support conservation efforts. We also offer hands-on learning experiences for students to prepare them for managing rangelands and rural communities.

The Rangeland Center collaborates across disciplines and partnerships to address evolving conservation challenges in rangelands. Through engagement with external partners like the Idaho Rangeland Conservation Partnership and University of Idaho Extension, we focus on research, education, and outreach for responsive solutions. Our Partners Advisory Council (PAC) provides diverse perspectives to guide our long-term vision and success.

Mission

The mission of the Rangeland Center is to empower the researchers and educators in Idaho who create
knowledge and foster understanding for the stewardship and management of rangelands and to
promote active partnerships with the individuals, organizations and communities who work and live on
Idaho’s rangelands.

Vision

The Rangeland Center serves current and future generations by promoting stewardship of the rangeland
resources which are vital to the ecological and economic health of Idaho and the region.
